Live broadcasting isn't set up yet

Camera and screen-share go-live needs Cloudflare Stream — this is what actually transcodes your broadcast into 480p/720p/1080p and delivers it worldwide with low latency. There's no way to do that with browser code alone, so this one-time setup is required:

In the Cloudflare dashboard, open Stream and enable it on your account (it has a free tier; usage beyond that is billed — check current pricing on Cloudflare's site).
Create an API token with Stream:Edit permission under My Profile → API Tokens.

From your workers folder, run:

npx wrangler secret put CF_ACCOUNT_ID
npx wrangler secret put CF_STREAM_API_TOKEN

Find your Customer Code (Stream → any video → it's in the playback URL) and add it to wrangler.toml under [vars] as CF_STREAM_CUSTOMER_CODE.
Redeploy: npm run deploy

This is your outgoing broadcast — muted locally so you don't hear an echo. Viewers hear your mic normally.

Your stream is publishing over WebRTC (WHIP) directly to Cloudflare's global network, which transcodes it into multiple qualities and distributes it worldwide.

Tip: Viewers may see up to ~10-20 seconds of buffering delay before your stream appears in the catalog while Cloudflare finishes preparing the first playback segments — this is normal.

Important: Always click End Stream when you're done. Closing this tab directly stops your broadcast but leaves the title marked "live" in the catalog until you end it here or mark it offline in the Content Manager.
